As a society, we have been brainwashed to think this a morbid third world sort of thing. In theory it can be very therapeutic if done with the right sort of attitude and ambience. I also believe that one should hold out for the right price for their dead pet.... I have several in the freezer waiting for the right buyer.... My 14 year old tabby had some good long miles put on her and I am not about to donate it or sell it for pennys to just any tom, dick or hairy. I placed numerous ads in the Nickel Ads and even on Ebay with just a bunch of lunatics calling or emailing asking questions and not the lesat bit interested in talking how much. My 17 year old beagle is another score with its deformed hips and kidney issues. I keep them all at -14C in a sealed bag just they way I read about on some taxidermy site.
